Thankfully I can enjoy life, have a good party and laugh at the funny things…………

Thankfully I am young and free, free to believe and free to be

Thankfully sometimes I can be silly,be funny,be ordinary and be part of the crowd

Thankfully I am not obliged to align with anyone or anything that am not part of

Thankfully I can look around and past the depressing to the uplifting

Thankfully I am a peaceful person who never sees fighting as a solution

Thankfully the sun always shines through, always bright and beautiful,the African sun

Thankfully I recognize my worth, my potential and my humanity

Thankfully there is a God to call on when my strengths hit the all time lows

Thankfully there’s God to talk to when I cannot talk to anyone

Thankfully am able to seek my hearts desire, find it and keep it close to me

Thankfully hatred, grudges, envy and vengeance I know from afar

Thankfully prejudice, intolerance and strife I found not within me, neither would anyone

Thankfully I can survive all the setbacks and rise to come through and win again

Thankfully in spite of all my many complexities, at heart I am just a simple girl

Thankfully the simple things in life are sufficient for me

Thankfully the simple people in life are the ones I always choose

Thankfully in spite of the complicated human being that I am appreciates simplicity

Thankfully I believe in love,love myself,love mankind,love everlasting

When all is said and done I,thankfully,am not a warrior,not a soldier,not an opposer,not a hero

I am just a daughter,a sister,a friend and a lover,a comforter,a nurturer,a believer

Thankfully I am so complicated yet so simple. I am only human and I am still thankful
